# Uptick

> Connect Uptick to sanda: what to prepare, the fields the connection form asks for, and how its data lands in your warehouse.

## Connect Uptick

:::steps
1. **Open the catalogue.** In the console, go to **Data · Connections** and press **New connection**.
2. **Choose Uptick.** It is listed under field service and fleet; you can also search for it by name.
3. **Fill in the form.** Enter the fields below. Credentials go straight to sanda’s sync engine and are never stored in sanda’s database.
4. **Choose what to sync.** Pick the tables you want, and a sync mode for each. See [choose what to sync](https://docs.sanda-os.com.au/connections/choose-tables).
5. **Run the first sync.** sanda tests the connection, then lands each table you chose in your warehouse.

## Configuration fields

What the connection form asks for. Required fields are marked; the rest are optional.

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Base Url** | string | Yes | Root URL of the Uptick workspace, for example https://demo-fire.onuptick.com. Only the host is used; the scheme and trailing slash are normalized. |
| **OAuth Client ID** | string, secret | Yes | Client ID of the OAuth application created in Uptick under Control Panel · Uptick API · Create Application. |
| **OAuth Client Secret** | string, secret | Yes | Client secret of that Uptick OAuth application. |
| **Uptick API Account Email** | string | Yes | Email address of the Uptick user the connector signs in as. Synced data is limited to what this user can see in Uptick. |
| **Uptick API Account Password** | string, secret | Yes | Password of that Uptick user. |
| **Number of Concurrent Threads** | integer | No | Number of concurrent requests. Higher values speed up syncs but increase the chance of Uptick rate limiting. Default `3`. |
| **Maximum Requests Per Minute** | integer | No | Global request budget shared by all streams and threads. Uptick does not publish a numeric rate limit; 60 per minute is a conservative default. Raise it only if Uptick confirms your workspace tolerates more. Large tenants may raise this to speed up syncs; lower it if Uptick returns 429s. Default `60`. |
